Delete your Money Maps account

You can delete your Money Maps account at any time.

Delete in the app

  1. Open Money Maps and go to Me.
  2. Tap Delete my account.
  3. Confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away.

Or delete by email

Email info@moneymaps.net from the email address on your account, with the subject Delete my account. If you used "Hide My Email" with Sign in with Apple, send it from the address your Apple relay forwards to, or tell us the relay address. We may ask you to confirm the request. We will delete your account as soon as we can, within one month at the latest, and let you know when it is done.

What we delete

  • Your login and profile, including your name, email address and Apple identifier.
  • Your PayPal email address.
  • Your points. You will no longer appear on the leaderboards.
  • Rate-board close-ups and board-scan photos you uploaded, including the photo files.
  • Photos from closed-shop reports you made, including the photo files.
  • Closed-shop reports and photo reports you made.
  • Rate suggestions you made.
  • Shop claims and business claim requests you made. Any shop you had claimed becomes unclaimed.

What stays, without your name

Some contributions stay so the information is still useful to others, but they are no longer linked to you:

  • Shop-front photos you added stay on the shop page but are no longer linked to you (no name, location or time). We remove your name, the saved location, the time the photo was taken and the account that stored it. We keep only the upload date, which is not linked to anyone.
  • Rates you posted stay without your name, as part of the shop's rate history.
  • Wrong-rate reports you made.
  • Shops you added to the map.

We can still remove a kept shop-front photo at any time through our photo review. A claimed business can also ask us to remove one by emailing info@moneymaps.net. If a shop-front photo shows you or anything personal, email us and we will remove it.

What else may be kept

  • Business contact details you gave us when claiming a shop may also be held in our business contacts records. Email us and we will delete them.
  • Prize payment records are kept for 6 years for tax and accounting.
  • Emails you sent us are kept for up to 2 years.
  • Server logs are kept for 1 day.
  • Ads data collected by Google's ads software is held by Google under its own policies, so deleting your Money Maps account does not delete it. See Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy to manage it.

Sign in with Apple

You can also stop using your Apple ID with Money Maps yourself at any time. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Sign-In & Security, then Sign in with Apple. Choose Money Maps and tap Stop Using Apple ID. This removes the sign-in link but does not by itself delete the data we hold, so please also delete your account as above.
